Trip to Michigan!

Merry Christmas!!!!

We have had a whirlwind of the last week and a half. Larry got home late Wednesday night and Thursday morning we got up and drove the truck to New Orleans to ship it to Hawaii. It is scheduled to arrive two days before we do. Then Friday we got the trailblazer serviced (the 4-wheel drive was not working) and we left for Michigan late Friday night. It took us 30 hours to get there!!!! Ugh. It was forever long and we ran into some nasty, nasty weather. But we finally arrived Sunday morning. They had a ton of snow and it was freezing cold every day until the day we left (of course)! We had a really great time visiting family and friends! In fact, here is a photo of my bestest bud Angie, and I. LOVE HER!Christmas was wonderful. We got Victoria a guitar that she was soooo excited about. She played that thing constantly and sang us all kinds of great songs. It was fabulous. Everyone loved getting to see the girls and getting to meet Temperance for the first time. We got to meet my brother's daughter Chelsea for the first time as well. She is a little cutie pie! Here is a photo of Victoria with her guitar.
Victoria also got a lot of play makeup. She is such a girly girl at times, but beware she will still gut punch you and try to put you in an arm bar or a head lock.
Temperance had a little bit of help opening her presents!
Here's a picture of Temperance helping Grandma cook for Christmas dinner!

We had a group photo done with our family, the Grandparents, and Ken & Susan's family. They turned out great. While I don't have those photos yet, I do have some of Temperance getting ready for pictures. So pretty!

Here she is watching the photo lady set up for the shoot. Very interesting stuff!

There was of course a TON of snow!!! It was crazy cold too. Here are some pics of the snow!!
I love the simplicity of the pic of my dad blowing snow with Bud in close behind!

Of course Larry would have to grill in the snow. He had to shovel off the deck just to get the grill on it.

On our way back down to Florida we stopped to see both of my Grandmas which meant that we went down through the lower peninsula of Michigan and before that we crossed the Mighty Mac. It was a gloomy day but the bridge was fabulous as always!!! On the way to Evert we ended up in Amish country in the ditch. The car is fine and everyone was fine, but the photos are hilarious so check it out. Of course I climbed out of the car just cussing my butt off to find five little Amish kids standing there. Great. LOL. They were super nice to help get us out though and when they found out I was the one driving they were like "oh, the woman was driving"... LOL. Too much fun. Check out the beards. We were pretty close to the truck.
Here is the damage left behind after we were pulled out.

We had a great trip!
