The trouble with being a military wife is that I become unemployed for 3-4 months every 3-4 years. It's not easy. It is NEVER easy to quit one job and then find another one. I was truly blessed in Hawaii with a great Accounting job that allowed me to grow and learn and expand my accounting knowledge. Today, however, I am now unemployed. Ugh. Just the thought of the effort and time it is going to take to find a new job is making my head spin.
Larry is the lucky one. He keeps his job and just has to move to a new squadron every time. I am really hoping I don't have as much trouble finding a job in Virginia as I had in Hawaii. It was not a fun time for me.
We are starting to separate stuff out, pack a few things up and get ready for our move. Our truck ships off island on Monday and from there it will be a whirlwind of things to get done. We only have two weekends left on island and we are blessed the sun is shining! :) YAY!!

Last Few Weeks
I am down to my last week of work and we seriously only have two weekends left here in Hawaii. You would think we would be out on the beach every waking moment, but everyone got super sick this last weekend and it has been raining here so much there hasn't even been a sun to enjoy.
I was up this morning doing Pilates and thinking about how much we have been able to experience since coming to Hawaii and the list is pretty long. We will be missing the local food, beaches and scenery the most. Of course it is beautiful here, but after three years it is also easy to take it for granted. I hope we took enough photos to remember everything.
As the time gets closer to us leaving I am starting to be agitated and anxious. I am ready for the pack up to be over and the house to be gone... unfortunately those things don't happen until right before we leave. I am insanely excited for this to be my last week of work but I am super nervous about fining a job in VA. It should be easy but we are buying a house out in the middle of no-man's land and it will put me at a slight disadvantage for the job hunting. Please keep me in your prayers as I begin this new journey. On the plus side, I got a super great letter of recommendation and I am ready to hit the ground running (literally - I am so freaking excited to run on the mainland again).

Of course we will miss going to luau's as well. :) Now I have to get ready for work. Woop 4 work days left!
