Easter 2013

Easter 2013 was AWESOME! We celebrated Easter with church and then an egg hunt and baskets at home with a great dinner. Then on the 1st of April we attended the White House Easter Egg Roll! It was a lot of waiting in line and there were so many people there but we had a great time. The girls loved it!

Kitchen Cabinet Make-Over Part I

We are updating our kitchen cabinets! When we bought the house we knew we didn't care for the light wood color of the cabinets and now we are changing them! First step is to apply two coats of primer to all surfaces. I am starting to wish my kitchen was just a little smaller!!!

This is where we are at now. We have most of the primer applied and we will be starting to paint today. After the paint goes up (another two coats) we have a sealent that will have to be applied. More photos to follow as the color of our cabinets change!!!

Hair Be Gone!

Well, I finally did it. I cut my hair off!!! The locks are being donated to Pantene to make wigs for cancer patients. :) The girls were skeptical at first but now they like it as well. Larry was happy to see it gone as he continually called it my horse tail!

There you go! I hope you all like it!!!!

Fall Festival Run

Victoria is in the Sealston Running Club this year and she particpated in her first 1-mile Road Race as part of the King George Fall Festival 2012. She did fantastic. We are super proud of her. Her offical time was 9:20! YAY Victoria!

Off to a great start!

Coming back down the hill!

She sprinted when she saw us waving!

She could barely breathe but smiled wide!

Victoria was so happy to get her finisher's medal! YAY!

Fall Festival Parade

Victoria got to be in the King George County Fall Festival Parade with her Sealston Chorus Team. Temperance and I were super excited to watch her walking with their float and signing songs. Victoria had a GREAT time and loved being in the parade! I look forward to many more years of parade happiness! I even had the chance to take a quick photo of her walking (note I was taking real photos and video at the same time!!!). Enjoy!

The donkey totally made my day even better!!!! He was at the actual festival after the parade!

ALzheimer's Walk 2012

Victoria and I participated in the Fredericksburg 2012 Alzheimer's Walk. It was held at the University of Mary Washington. It was Victoria's first experience participating in a walk/run. I got super emotional several times.

The yellow flower is Victoria's. It is for supporting someone who currently has Alzheimer's (Grandma Inman). The purple flower is for someone who has died from Alzheimer's (my Great Grandma Letts).

We wrote on the flowers and then turned them in when we started the walk. The volunteer's "planted" the flowers into a garden and when we finished walking we got to pick our flowers and bring them home with us.
